Reading Books

The girls really like having books read to them. Most books seem to end before they begin, so I end up reading 4 or 5 in a row. The girls seem equally interested in your voice as they are in the pictures. Sometimes they are very attentive, and other times they just want to eat the pages. But when they read on their own, they prefer simpler themes. Here is Alex enjoying a book and later Isabella reading it back to her.

Brushing Teeth

Since the girls have teeth now, I guess we are supposed to brush them. They don't seem to mind. The tooth brushes have even become toys. I wonder what other chores we can turn into toys. ;-)

Latest Fashions

Always keen to keep the girls in the height of fashion, here they are at the end of their second hike sporting a tie die, leopard skin pants and a tommy hilfiger logo. Alex previews what she might look like with a nose ring. Her daddy wonders what is in his future.

First Hike

We went on the first hike with the girls. On the way to the traihead we bought some used baby backpacks. They really seemed to enjoy it, even falling alseep at different times during the day while we were walking. In typical Rob fashion I forgot my hiking boots and hiked in my flip flops. I hope the girls don't learn too much from their daddy's bad examples.

This hike went to an alpine lake. The next hike will have to be to a mountain top. We have to accustom them in the backpacks so we can ski with them this coming winter. :-)

Looking for trouble

I'm beginning to better understand the need for baby proofing. The girls reach out to touch, grab, and pull on everything within reach. If it isn't within reach, they scoot on over. Of course, everything they get their hands on goes directly into their mouths. I don't know who is in more trouble, us or them.

We're coming too, right?

Just to be sure we didn't forget them, we packed the girls first. It looks like they made the trip unscathed.
